Konstantina Trivisa named AWM Fellow

Professor Konstantina Trivisa (IPST / Math) has been elected Fellow of the Association of Women in Mathematics for her tireless efforts and dedication to increase diversity in the mathematical sciences at all levels from high school to higher education; for organizing outreach events for secondary students; and for support of women at all career stages: recruiting and mentoring graduate students, hiring and retaining faculty, and highlighting speakers at international conferences.

Trivisa's research focuses on hyperbolic systems of conservation laws; models of compressible fluids; variational problems - phase transitions; and applications to materials science and fluid dynamics.
