Michelle Girvan Named 2022-23 Distinguished Scholar-Teacher
IPST and Physics Professor Michelle Girvan has been recognized as a 2022-23 Distinguished Scholar-Teacher. Established in 1978, the program honors a small number of faculty members each year who have demonstrated notable success in both scholarship and teaching. Distinguished Scholar-Teachers will make a public presentation on a topic within their scholarly discipline and will receive an honorarium of $5,000 to support their professional activities.
Girvan’s research focuses on applications of network science to biological, social, and technological systems.
