Trivisa elected Fellow of SIAM

Professor Konstantina Trivisa (IPST / Math) was elected a 2023 Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) for “outstanding contributions to analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations, exemplary service, and excellence in mentoring of students and postdocs”. Fellows, nominated for their exemplary research as well as outstanding service to the community, help advance the fields of applied mathematics and computational science.

SIAM, incorporated in 1952 as a nonprofit organization, fosters the development of applied mathematical and computational methodologies needed in various application areas. Applied mathematics, in partnership with computational science, is essential in solving many real-world problems. SIAM’s mission is to build cooperation between mathematics and the worlds of science and technology.
